I want to thank you for stopping us and encouraging my daughter to enter our Golden Retriever in the Golden Retriever class.  She was so excited she won a Best in Breed ribbon and can't wait to do more shows.  Earlier she was upset with herself because she showed in the Jr. Novice group, in the first group.  She did not know the Judge would call them back in the ring.  She had taken her dog to the kennel, so she missed going back in to qualify for a ribbon.  So, you stopping us as we were leaving was just what she needed.  That was her first AKC showing.  I told her she learned some lessons.  She is in her 2nd year in 4-H dog training in Boone County.  Grace will be 10 years old next week and has really gotten excited about dogs.

I signed her up for the AKC JR. News newsletter as you said.  Grace is signed up to show in Moberly, MO next week and Purina Farms the following week.  

........We appreciate you stopping us and telling her she had time to enter the open class.  She took her ribbon to school to show her class.  She asked for a Grooming Table and smock for her Bday, so we have one ordered for her.  She can't wait to enter more shows.  Grace's 4-H Dog Project leader told her to go on the Onofrio web site to find dog shows to enter.  Are there any other dog shows for her to enter Jr. Showmanship? Just an update the “babies” have morphed to the “boys”.  They passed their vet check with flying colors (as we all new they would).  The boys are getting used to going outside and we have to let them off of the deck one at a time to do their business otherwise they get pre-occupied with play. Pooh has it all down pretty good, Patrick is next in line, a little slower, and Ceasar gets distracted by anything from a bird chirp to a car going by.  They all have new halters and leashes and we’ve had a few leading lessons. None has soiled their crate and being early risers, they sleep well at night.  Pooh is the first to get restless and within minutes he has the other two and us up heading outside about 6:30 am, then to the TV room for the news, bonding and napping. Tuesday they have their appointment with the groomer. They are sometimes a hand full but we love them all.

Just wanted to wish you Happy Holidays! My brother and I purchased Teddy Bear & Peanut Butter (Jewels) back in 2007 and they’re the best companions in this world.  Periodically, I have to check your website and look at the new litters of pups.  Alex looks like a sweetheart.  I took one look at him and my heart melted......my girls, my lil critters, are heaven sent!

I truly commend you on the gift you have, you really do perfect the breed of the shih tzu.  I’ve seen numerous shih tzus, but people always compliment our dogs on how perfect their physiques are.  Our vet agrees, that our pups came from a great pedigree.

Alex is heaven sent! He is such a good boy!  I let him sleep in my bed last night and he literally slept on top of my head.. he loves to be super close.  He is truly a lover! He is so well behaved.  He won’t pee in the house, and alerts me when I need to take him outside to go potty. He just runs around the house wagging his little tail and stopping for kisses in between. I took him and the girls for a walk, and he did super well! He’s a great addition to our family.

I just wanted to say I love your site and commitment to Shih Tzu..... I'm a proud Shih Tzu "nut" . I do rescue and it's such joy to see an abused or neglected Shih Tzu blossum in my care. I wanted to take this time to write to you today to thank you for your recommendation of a male Shih Tzu puppy! We LOVE our little guy! As you recall, I wanted a female puppy. I really wanted a female because of the lifting the leg with boys and going to the bathroom. You mentioned that many of your male Shih Tzu’s don’t lift their legs and you mentioned that males tend to be more affectionate. This is so true with our puppy! I grew up with a female Shih Tzu and she was not near as affectionate as this male dog is! We love the cuddles he gives us and you were right on the lifting the leg too! He doesn’t lift. I know you mentioned this wasn’t a guarantee and it wasn’t that big of a deal to us, but he’s just such a good boy I had to share my pleasure with you. Thank you again!
