' , 'Mighty was one of our first client dogs. Kandy Jones had sold me a show puppy. After I finished her I took Mighty to show as I did not have another bitch at that time to show. I finished Mighty in exchange for getting one litter out of her. I bred her to Falling Stars Romeo-N-Juliette which gave me some very nice puppies. I remember I had to take her to a show with me in Kankakee, Illinois in December. On our way home there was a huge snow storm. A friend that showed dogs had gone with me to the shows, on our way back in the snow we pulled over so we could breed Mighty in the back of the van. Well, what stories dog people have. Dog showing and breeding is very rewarding when you have friends to build stories like that with.'))

' , 'Kandy Jones got Rusty returned to her in full show coat from a breeder who did not think he was show quality. Obivously it is hard to keep show people happy. We are always expecting the best, especially if we buy a dog from someone else....I am the same way. However, Rusty was a gorgous dog. He was a full brother to Kandy, the bitch I bought from Kandy Jones. I believe this was my very first client dog. I remember going over every little detail in contract....because that was the professional thing to do! Rusty had a gorgeous color with a pretty head and good movement. To get his last major I remember Kandy brought some puppies up and I entered some other dogs in a show in Grand Island, Nebraska. We were the only ones entered. Kandy drove about 10 hours to my house and we got up at the crack of dawn the next morning to groom 9 dogs out.'))
. Pappy was my first Papillon to show professionally. It is fun to show dogs in a different breed than your own. I tend to take a loss less personal (because I have not bred it) so showing the dog is more relaxing. It is also interesting to notice how breed type can change so quickly. When I showed Pappy he was on the smaller size and there we many gigantic Papillons. 10 years later it was just the opposite.'))
 so after two days of winning he should have been finished. I remember I went ahead and showed him the next day anyway since there were no other males entered (the major was in bitches). He won the major again going Best of Breed over the bitch and it is a good thing I showed him because he ended up needing those points plus one more single which we got at a small show in Illinois. Vi was a very nice lady, a lady every dog show exhibitor should hope to be like.'))
 so all the dogs had to fit in the back seat. Looking back on it, it was probably really stupid to do that, but we tend to do what we have to do when we need to do it! Wild Thing lost the first two days and the owner thought for sure he would not finish that weekend, but the last day he pulled it off and made everyone happy by becoming a new Champion.'))

. I think I had the best time that weekend of any dog show I attended. When in the presence of good company, everything is Grand!'))

. She is so nice she could be Specialed but Owner Sally and Jerry Howard from Scottsbluff, NE are going to try to get more beautiful puppies we can show. Sally and Jerry have proved to be very ethical breeders. I am happy to have been able to help them in their pursuit of improving the breed early on. No one in their breed would mentor them (imagine that!). Often times a handler that does not breed that particular breed is a good ally to help guide a new breeder. It should not be that way. Other breeders should help people like Sally and Jerry out, but unfortunately they do not.'))
